MIGARS 2026 Outstanding Researcher Award

Recognizing Excellence in Machine Intelligence, Remote Sensing, Geospatial Analytics and Earth Observation

The MIGARS 2026 Outstanding Researcher Award recognizes researchers who have made significant and sustained contributions to Machine Intelligence, Remote Sensing, Geospatial Analytics, Earth Observation, and related interdisciplinary research areas. The award celebrates scientific excellence, innovation, research impact, and continued engagement with the MIGARS community.

Application Deadline: 19 July 2026

Eligibility

Applicants must satisfy all of the following requirements:
  • Applications are accepted through self-nomination.

  • The applicant must be an author or co-author of at least one paper accepted for presentation and publication at MIGARS 2026.

  • Applicants should have a strong research and professional standing.

Application Requirements

Applicants should submit a Three-Page Research Profile (PDF) that includes:

  • Academic and professional background

  • Major research contributions

  • Research interests

  • Significant research outcomes and scientific impact

  • Publications (June 2023 – June 2026)

  • Research grants and funded projects

  • Technology development or technology transfer

  • Awards and recognitions

  • Editorial responsibilities

  • Contributions to industry, government or society

  • Other notable research achievements

Applicants may also include research metrics such as:

  • Publication count

  • Citation count

  • h-index

  • Patents

  • Software releases

  • Other scholarly impact indicators

Selection Process

Applications will be evaluated by the MIGARS 2026 Outstanding Researcher Award Selection Committee.

The committee may request additional information if required. The committee's decision shall be final. If no application meets the expected standards of excellence, the committee reserves the right not to confer the award.

Award Recognition

Selected recipient(s) will receive:

  • Commemorative Plaque or Trophy

  • Certificate of Recognition during the MIGARS 2026 Award Ceremony.

  • Submission of an application does not guarantee selection.

  • All submitted information must be accurate and verifiable.

  • False or misleading information may result in disqualification.

  • The Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify these guidelines if necessary.
