Student Travel Grant Guidelines

MIGARS 2026 is pleased to offer a limited number of Student Travel Grants to support student authors presenting accepted papers/abstracts at the conference. The travel grant is intended to facilitate student participation and will be provided on a reimbursement basis, subject to the availability of conference funds.

  1. Applicants must be full-time students (UG, Master's, or PhD) associated with an accepted paper/abstract and must complete conference registration before availing travel grant support.

  2. Applicants are required to attend the conference and present their work in person. Travel grant support will be considered only for authors who successfully present their accepted paper/abstract.

  3. Travel reimbursement is limited to:

    • 3rd AC train fare (to and from the conference venue)

    • Local cab charges incurred for conference-related travel

  4. The following expenses are not eligible for reimbursement:

    • Airfare

    • 1st AC, 2nd AC, Executive Class, or any upgraded travel category

    • Food and personal expenses

    • Visa charges

    • Any miscellaneous expenses not directly related to conference participation

  5. Accommodation for selected female applicants may be provided in the DUK Girls' Hostel, subject to availability. Hostel allotment will be made on a first-come, first-served basis among approved female applicants and will depend on the availability of accommodation.

  6. Travel grant support and hostel accommodation are subject to the availability of conference funds and resources. Submission of an application does not guarantee financial support or accommodation.

  7. Only one author per accepted paper/abstract is eligible to receive travel grant support.

  8. Applications may be evaluated based on:

    • The applicant's contribution to the accepted paper/abstract

    • The quality and relevance of the research work

    • The expected academic and professional benefit of conference participation

    • Demonstrated need for travel assistance

  9. Reimbursement will be processed after the conference upon successful presentation and verification of submitted documents, including original travel tickets and receipts.

  10. Applicants should submit the following supporting documents:

    • Student ID Card or Bonafide Certificate

    • Paper/Abstract Acceptance Letter

    • Conference Registration Proof

    • Travel Booking Proof (all bookings and bills to be made only on grant approved person name. Also cab bookings bills from apps like uber / Rapido only accepted, no phone pay receipts.)

    • Supervisor Recommendation/Endorsement (Template is given at ), The supervisor Endorsement should be taken on college Letter head.
